Tylodox Tablets
Tylodox Tablets
Tylodox tablets are a broad-spectrum antibiotic formulated specifically for pigeons to help support the treatment of bacterial respiratory and intestinal infections. Combining the proven effectiveness of Tylosin Tartrate and Doxycycline Hydrochloride, this dual-action formula targets many of the most common bacterial pathogens affecting racing, breeding, and ornamental pigeons. Tylodox is commonly used by pigeon enthusiasts to help manage respiratory conditions such as Mycoplasmosis, Ornithosis (Chlamydia), and Salmonella (Paratyphoid), helping birds recover more quickly and return to peak condition.
Each Tylodox tablet contains 5 mg of Tylosin Tartrate and 20 mg of Doxycycline Hydrochloride. Tylosin is a macrolide antibiotic that is highly effective against Mycoplasma and other susceptible Gram-positive bacteria, while doxycycline is a broad-spectrum tetracycline antibiotic that provides excellent activity against Chlamydia, Salmonella, and many Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Together, these antibiotics provide broad antimicrobial coverage for many of the bacterial infections commonly encountered in pigeons.
Tylodox Tablets are easy to administer and are designed for individual oral dosing. They are commonly used when pigeons exhibit symptoms such as sneezing, watery eyes, nasal discharge, swollen sinuses, noisy breathing, reduced appetite, or decreased performance. For best results, begin treatment early, follow the recommended treatment schedule, and complete the full course. Fresh drinking water should always be available during treatment, and calcium supplements or mineral grit should be withheld while administering doxycycline-containing medications, as calcium may reduce the absorption and effectiveness of the antibiotic.
